Fact Checked
Custom CSS is located in the "Website Tools" section of Squarespace, under the Utilities section at the bottom of Pages. To find Custom CSS in your Squarespace account, click Website > Pages > Website Tools > Custom CSS.
Custom CSS Has Moved in Squarespace
If you haven't opened your Squarespace account in a long time, you may see that Squarespace has changed its internal menu structure. Some features, like Custom CSS, are in different locations from where they used to be. Never fear; this option is still here.
The Pages tab in Squarespace is divided into three main sections: Main Navigation, Not Linked, and Utilities. This sneaky little Utilities section throws many people off because it's hidden at the bottom of the page. Some people may not even see it without scrolling if they're using Squarespace on a smaller screen.
Under the Utilities section, clicking "Website Tools" will take you to the Custom CSS section. This is less intuitive for people because most would expect it to be under the Styles section in Squarespace.
After all, Custom CSS is mostly about "styling" your Squarespace site. All that said there's an even better, faster way to get to Custom CSS:
Use a Shortcut to the Custom CSS Tab in Squarespace
As a seasoned Squarespace user, you have the power to navigate the platform with ease. Start using shortcuts to jump around the different sections of Squarespace. This efficient method allows you to maintain your productivity without losing your mind, just like a pro.
To quickly jump to the Custom CSS section (or any other section), press the "/" key on your keyboard. This will pull up Squarespace's internal search feature.
From here, type in "CSS," and you should see "Custom CSS" highlighted in gray. Press "Enter," and you will jump straight to the Custom CSS section without having to click anything!
You can also use this feature to search for any other section or setting in Squarespace. Start typing, and if your desired selection is highlighted in gray, press "Enter" to go there.
If it's not highlighted but you see it lower on the list, navigate with your arrow keys before pressing "Enter" or click directly on the item.
